From engineering to building the systems that hold a business together
I started my career in a hard hat and safety boots, supervising construction on engineering projects. From there I moved into coordinating teams, and along the way I realized that what I'm really good at isn't engineering itself, but bringing order to chaos: processes, systems and people working together without everything depending on one person.
How I got here
A path through engineering, field operations and internal systems, in that order.
Operations Assistant
Owned end-to-end operational support for a growing digital company, reporting directly to the CEO and COO. Built People Operations SOPs from scratch under the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) framework, with version control, approval workflows and rollout to the whole team. Ran the full accounts payable cycle and led a SaaS subscription audit that eliminated redundant tools and saved close to $80,000 a year. Also provided executive support to the CEO and COO during a company-wide reorganization.
Founder & Operator
An independent smart-home venture. I built the entire value chain on my own: customer service, supplier coordination, order fulfillment and social media. Currently relaunching, applying everything I've learned about People Ops and process documentation since then.
Field Service Operations Specialist
Supported field service operations across a two-country region. Owned the Salesforce service CRM, covering service requests, spare-parts inventory and team performance tracking. Evaluated team performance through KPIs and reported results to local and regional management, while documenting and maintaining service SOPs.
Electronics Engineering Specialist
Technical specialist on electrical and electronic engineering projects for the healthcare sector. Supervised construction progress and contractor teams on public infrastructure, reviewed design drawings and managed technical documentation through the basic and detailed engineering phases.
Project Engineer
Led technical teams implementing electrical and electronic infrastructure projects, including data center construction. Supervised on-site execution and prepared as-built documentation for client handover.
Project Manager
Managed the planning and execution of an electrical engineering project to upgrade cellular base stations, as the client's direct point of contact and responsible for meeting deadlines and technical specifications.
